Flash & Actionscript

Adobe Flash is a popular multimedia platform used to add animation to web pages. Developers use it to create a number of Flash web page components, these include - animation, interactive advertisements and increased video intergration. Most recently Flash developers have used the platform to create Internet widgets such as interactive media players. Flash can manipulate vector and raster graphics, and supports bidirectional streaming of audio and video. Its greatest benefit is in its ability to increase client-side interaction with your website.

 

ActionScript is a scripting language used primarily for the development of websites and software using the Flash Player platform (in the form of Flash files embedded into Web pages). Oneuses ActionScript to create Flash applications which are then embedded in a website for display.
